Shear delight: Alpacas left with mullets after annual cut

WEIRD hair, thin necks, doe eyes - no, not Sydney Fashion Week but an alpaca farm in Goeming, Austria.

Every April the alpacas are shorn to make them more comfortable during the country's summer heat.

But it's not just a case of short back and sides, with farmer Erwin Stadler and his daughter Carina experimenting with every retro hairstyle in the book.

On parade were hairdos inspired by Cruella de Vil, Rod Stewart, Yoda, John Farnham and Paul McCartney.
